“As a designer you should have the guts to step out and take a position. You should have the passion to get involved in creating and influencing your environment. Working out theories, forming them into a product and telling stories with it is the essence of my work; stories that inspire the end-user and which s/he can extend. We are surrounded by trash, but from time to time we find an object that becomes treasure to us, which we protect, foster and care for a whole lifetime. This is the most effective ecology. We should try to design more treasure.”

Anna Blattert works as independent Designer in the fields of interior, furniture and accessory design. 
The focus on sustainability and critically questioning of consumer behaviors are always important part of her projects.
Since 2014 she is doing an MAS in Environmental Technology and Management.

Since 2012 she is a guest lecturer in the Engineering & Architecture department at the UAS Lucerne, where she teaches Ecology in Product Design.

From 2009 to 2013 she was working as Teaching Assistant at the UAS Lucerne, dept. Product Design, where she was also lecturer in 2014 and 2015.

In 2015 she joined the design team at Freitag lab. ag in Zurich.

Anna is co-founder of the design collective Postfossil and currently also member of the board at the Swiss Design Association.
